Outreach

NAPSO continues to reach out to other Washington-based organizations, the Congress and the Administration, to expand our membership, educate and inform the education community and education policy leaders regarding pupil services personnel and the NAPSO coalition, and ensure the acknowledgment and involvement in pupil services personnel in federal legislation, regulations, and research initiatives.

Presentations

We have also taken our message of who we are and what we do on the road, presenting at national conferences across the country. Utilizing both Washington-based NAPSO representatives and state members of NAPSO organizations, NAPSO has presented sessions on models of interdisciplinary team collaboration at the national conferences of the National PTA, the American Art Therapy Association, the American Dance Therapy Association, the School Social Work Association of America, and the Center for Mental Health in Schools (Conference on Advancing School-Based Mental Health).
